Potpourri

Mix together: 4 c dried rose petals (from last year’s garden), 1 c oven dried parsley (150 degrees for 30 min), 2 c mixed herbs (especially lemon balm and lemon verbena); 1 c old spices (from the cupboard), 2 c cedar chips (this makes it moth-proof), 1 c dried orange peels, 1 c balsam needles, .25 c coarse cut orris root (a fixative), and 1/2 dram rose oil. Store in tightly lidded jar for 4-6 weeks, then place in pretty jars. Uncover to release the fragrance, stir and enjoy.
